Introduction:

We offer 6 months specially designed Unique Fellowship programme in General Ophthalmology. You may opt for ADVANCED PHACO training as well. One very vital aspect of learning Phaco in 3 months is that you need to be an ECCE surgeon who is in touch with surgery. Our specially designed STEPWISE Short-term training includes basic techniques of phacoemulsification in structured manner through Video assisted dedicated lectures by senior consultants, live surgery demonstrations & supervised hand on training upto 15 to 20 Cases.

You can get more number of cases if you are a quick learner. We offer direct one to one teaching & supervised hands on sessions, where trainer will be giving you feedback. Facility for video recording of surgeries will be made available. With prior intimation, you may extend the training period by paying an extra cost.

The training is available throughout the year.

During fellowship programme trainee has to work in hospital from 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM.

All trainee surgeons will be certified after successful completion of the course.

During their tenure during fellowship programme fellow has to attend hospital from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

Fellows will also be assigned duty of attending Camps either on working day or
Sunday during fellowship Programme either in areas nearby Hospital or at periphery near Mumbai.

Prerequisites For Training:
Anybody with basic skills in Extra Capsular Cataract Extraction can undergo training.

Experience and Skill in performing Capsulorhexis would provide an added advantage.
Attitude and Interest to Learn.
