She passed her M.B.B.S. & M.S. from KEM Hospital, Mumbai in 1977 and 1981 respectively. She was student of Dr. T.N. Usekar & Dr. B.T. Maskate. She joined LEH, Juhu in 1983 as Consultant. She did her observationship at Moorfields Hospital, London under Dr. Cassey.
